Why We Started The Wheel House
Let’s face it — many bike shops can feel intimidating. New riders might feel overwhelmed by technical jargon, while experienced cyclists may struggle to find genuine service. Whether you're looking for a trail bike, a gravel setup, or just a quick tune-up, finding a shop that’s both knowledgeable and welcoming isn’t always easy.

Meet the Owners
Matt Hall
Matt’s the “normal guy” with a love for RC cars and a daily ride on his Transition Patrol. He grew up in Bradford, NH and now lives in Claremont with his family — in the same house his partner grew up in. For Matt, owning The Wheel House is about showing his kids (and customers) that you can do what you love and make it work.
Rob Walker
Rob’s the fluid thinker and trail whisperer. His favorite trail, “Fistful of Cake,” is a moody dark blue with black lines — just like his riding style. With a background in management and marketing, Rob brings vision and adaptability to the shop. He’s passionate about creating experiences that evolve with every ride.
Eli Burke
Eli’s a vinyl collector, trail builder, and dog dad. He’s into long-travel bikes and classic New England jank — especially trails like WTG13 and Waka Waka. Eli believes in the power of bikes to transform communities, and he’s proud to help shape Claremont’s cycling scene from the ground up.
You Make Us Better
We're the best bike shop in Upper Valley — not because we say so, but because of you. Every rider, every repair, every trail built makes us better. Whether you're here for a tube or a custom build, we’re here to make your ride memorable.
And we’re just getting started.
